Applications for ACNP Innovation Fund 2011-12 (close 23 April)

Since 2009, the AusAID NGO Cooperation Program Innovations Fund has supported initiatives which showcase Australian accredited NGOs development efforts across the world… [including] improving partnerships between women’s organisations in the Pacific. The Fund has also supported sharing of lessons on international best practice…

The 2011-12 Innovations Fund will reflect the changing priorities of the Australian Aid Program, and the increased focus on helping people overcome poverty. Projects will be judged on their ability to contribute to AusAID’s strategic goals which include: saving lives, promoting opportunities for all, sustainable economic development and effective governance. Projects are also expected to contribute directly to Australia’s existing development efforts. Applicants should ensure that the proposed project aligns with the relevant AusAID country strategy and/or priorities.

Please note: Consistent with the ANCP, AusAID’s strategic goal of humanitarian and disaster response is not included as part of this program. However, organisations may submit activities relating to disaster risk reduction.

Grant applications for amounts up to AUD$500,000 will be considered. Applications will close on 23 April 2012. This grant scheme will be conducted in accordance with Commonwealth Grant Guidelines.
